I wrote this song two years ago about lost love.

I am scared sometimes of the ways of the river
she keeps me afloat but the turns get sharper
I know someday the shores will spill on over

All the hard times we have will float away easily
the big roaring current that sweeps me away
is the same calm water where all of my love bathes

I am the clay in the topsoil
the decomposing bones and hay
she is the river the sun and the rain
that washes me away

Reflections of myself on the water
are broken by the ripples of change
her love somehow heals all of my pain

We share the stars at night
a blinding love that leads
to the ache in our hearts
where the river bleeds
we dont feel the horror
of flowing to the sea

She is a storm in the sunset
calm as night in the day
I am the clouds thunder and cold winds
crashing on her lightning rain
